What to expect? Something for everyone…
Each fall, Silsbee transforms into car show and cruise mode as it plays host to one of the largest non-profit charitable car, truck, and motorcycle shows in the state. The annual Cruise’n Silsbee car show attracts some of the hottest looking, award-winning vehicles in the South with a registered car show count averaging 150 vehicles!
The festivities begin on Friday night with a live band and free concert with food vendors on hand to give it the carnival type atmosphere. The main car show starts with registration opening at 8am Saturday morning. A live DJ plays all our old and new favorites throughout the day, the large assortment of food vendors on site keep us well fed, and some arts and crafts booths keep things interesting. Aside from enjoying all the beautiful cars and mingling with other owners, car show participants have a chance at countless door prizes and raffles throughout the day while our experienced team of judges tackle the difficult task of determining who will walk away with bragging rights in their class.
CNS also attracts 1000’s of spectators to the car show by providing some fun, family type entertainment to go along with the show. Past entertainment has included the King Krunch Monster Truck display to put on a terrific show, our own local business owned Monster Truck on hand to offer rides, and a Motorcycle Stunt Team performing for the crowd. Check with our website to see what type entertainment will be on hand at this year’s event!
Moreover, what Southern car show would be complete without a Burnout Contest? Anything with tires on it can enter for a chance to win a pair of tires. The winner is chosen by crowd applause. The tires are provided by Silsbee Modica Bros. Tire Center.
After the awards ceremony and as the evening rolls in, the Silsbee Police Dept is on hand to provide an escorted parade of all car show participants through town. The parade is well attended by the locals as the streets of Silsbee are lined with people wanting to catch a glimpse of that classic old muscle car, antique, that loud hotrod, or the unusual, seldom seen vehicle from yesteryear. All vehicles entering the car show are welcome to participate in the escorted parade; however, after the parade, the Silsbee PD will be on the lookout for vehicles that are not Texas DOT legal.
